Time Slippage.

It’s a real thing. I feel like I lost track of time a bit. Days are sort of blending into one. The studio is up and functional, but I have be holding off a bit on starting a fresh batch of work. Making a bunch of panic pots right out of the gate somehow isn’t sitting well with me, and would drain by supply reserves more then I’d like. So in the meantime, reading and writing, and an attempt at approaching my next round of work a little more thoughtfully. I have materials to convert an aluminum trashcan into a small low temp kiln, and am going to try some raku work out of it. Seems like it might be appropriate. It is something I have always had a sort of nasty aversion to, but with the focal point of my studies seemingly centered around the chawan it feels like something I should investigate. Plus you know, fire and all. -jv
